Research Committee

The Council’s Research Committee brings together academics, consumers, and providers with an interest in furthering research related to improving health care for people without homes. The committee meets bi-monthly with opportunities to explore recent research and discuss future data-driven work. Contact Kimberly Chiaramonte or Lauryn Berner to join.

Practice Based Research Network (PBRN)

Partner with us as a Subject Matter Expert

In 2007, the Research Committee of the National Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) Council and HCH Clinicians’ Network created the nationally-focused HCH Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN).

The Council is revamping our PBRN and has convened a bi-monthly workgroup to outline the priorities and structure of the PBRN moving forward. If you would like to be part of the re-launch workgroup, contact Kimberly Chiaramonte or Lauryn Berner.

What is a PBRN?

  • A network of clinics that have an interest in asking evidence-based questions that are relevant to their practice and to the lives of their patients.
  • PBRNs set up infrastructure and governance to determine what is being researched and who is participating at what times.
  • PBRNs ask relevant, practice-based research questions to support the field.

Additional information on the PBRN will be available as the workgroup continues its re-launch efforts.

*The HCH PBRN is a member of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality PBRN Resource Center.
