Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas (CSVS) is one of the few providers in Monterey County for individuals who are medically indigent or homeless. Under the umbrella of CSVS, individuals receive comprehensive care, including basic health screenings, immunizations, basic oral screenings, orthopedics, and podiatry.

Services

The program is implemented at all Clinica de Salud locations. In addition, care is delivered via a mobile clinic which regularly visits homeless shelters and encampments. The mobile clinic serves as a key access point for those seeking primary care, oral health, and mental health and substance abuse treatments. Specialty services are referred to Natividad Medical Center’s main campus. Basic Needs, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Case Management/Social Services, Contraceptives (issued w/counseling), Dental Care, Diabetes Testing/Care, Domestic Violence Shelter/Services, Electronic Medical Records, Family Planning, Hepatitis C screening/treatment, HIV/AIDS screening/education, Outreach, Physical Exams, Primary Health Care, Referrals for Specialty Care, TB screening/education, Treatment of Acute Illness, Treatment of Chronic Illness, X-ray

Clinica de Salud has linkages with a number of homeless shelter and other human services providers including Dorothy’s Place, Monterey County Behavioral Health, Shelter Outreach Plus, Sun Street Centers, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey, Central Coast Alliance for Health, CHISPA, John XXIII AIDS Ministry, Victory Outreach Plus, Door to Hope, Partners for Peace, Center for Community Advocacy, Pajaro Rescue Mission, Monterey County Homeless Coalition, Genesis House, Cabrillo Family Resource Center, Monterey County Health Consortium, Breast Cancer Early Detection Program, Community Human Services: Counseling and Recovery, and Monterey County Office of Education Migrant Program.
