The National Consumer Advisory Board (NCAB) is made up of people who are or have previously experienced homelessness who have been clients of Health Care for the Homeless projects and are involved in the governance of those projects. NCAB serves as a vehicle for consumers of HCH projects to become a collaborative voice on national issues. The Steering Committee is led by a chair, two co-chairs, a peer advocate, 3 members at large, and 5 regional representatives who help NCAB achieve its mission.
