Medical Respite in Media Spotlight

Recent news coverage highlighted the National HCH Council and its members’ efforts to expand medical respite care. Rewire.News’s “Good Practice: Medical Respite Programs Offer Homeless Patients a Place to Go” detailed the importance of respite and the work of our members at Boston HCH Program, Yakima Neighborhood Health Services, and Circle the City, and The Seattle Times highlighted the respite program at Edward Thomas House in Seattle, WA.

The Council also lent its perspective to recent stories detailing how sleep deprivation affects people without homes and the rising deaths of people experiencing homelessness in King County, Washington.
