Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day is December 21st

One week from today we will honor those who have died while living without a home. On December 21st, Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, we remember those we have lost and renew our commitment to ending homelessness. We state clearly, together with others in scores of communities across our nation, that no person should die for lack of housing.

Please consider planning or attending an event in your community. The Council has many resources available to help promote Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, including our HPMD Public Statement and Advocacy Agenda and an Organizing Manual with sample documents, planning resources, and advocacy recommendations.
