Council Recognizes Mental Health Month

This May, join the Council in recognizing Mental Health Month. Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million, or 18.5%—experience mental illness in a given year. People experiencing homelessness are even more likely to suffer from severe mental illness and lack the resources to get proper care.

Find out how you can promote awareness and decrease stigma at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and learn more about how this condition affects people without homes on our Mental Illness resource page.
