Council Recognizes American Heart Month

This February, join the Council in recognizing American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women; every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart attack. People experiencing homelessness die from heart disease at much higher rates than those with stable housing due to risk factors including the prevalence of chronic health conditions and lack of access to routine medical care and treatment.
