Council Recognizes American Diabetes Month

This November, join the Council in recognizing American Diabetes Month. Diabetes is one of the leading causes of disability and death in the United States. More than 30 million people have diabetes – over 9% of the population. For those without homes, management of this disease is specifically challenging since maintaining a healthy diet is more difficult and refrigerating insulin may simply be impossible.
