Join the Council in recognizing Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day (HPMD) on December 21. On the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, we honor those who have died and strengthen our resolve to work for a world in which no life is lived or lost in homelessness. Every year, communities across the U.S. recognize HPMD through name readings, moments of silence, and other activities.
Help us promote this day of remembrance: read our HPMD Public Statement and Advocacy Agenda, view our HPMD resources, or share our Facebook event. For help with organizing your own event, contact Katherine Cavanaugh, Consumer Advocate.
