New Resource: Serving Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Persons: Establishing and Improving Models of Care for Those without Homes

New ResourceThe Council has developed a guide for health centers interested in establishing access and improving quality of care for transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people without homes. As the unique health care needs of this historically underserved population gain more national attention, health centers may find themselves unprepared to adequately deliver care. Drawing from current literature and interviews conducted with health centers and a social support organization, this guide provides promising practices to consider when establishing or improving upon TGNC health services, including community needs, program structure, and funding.
