New Issue of In Focus: Vital Role of Case Management for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

In Focus LogoThe National HCH Council has released a new edition of In Focus: A Quarterly Research Review. This issue provides a synthesis of recent literature on case management and its importance for people experiencing homelessness in achieving optimal wellness. In addition, case management may benefit the health care delivery system, housing programs, and reimbursement sources because of its collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy. This In Focus provides an overview of case management; its positive outcomes; the role these services play in enhancing health and housing interventions; the importance of care coordination as an aspect of case management; as well as discussing the implications for practice, policy, and future research.
