This May, join the Council in recognizing Hepatitis Awareness Month. A “hidden epidemic,” Hepatitis C is the most common bloodborne infection in the U.S., and people experiencing homelessness are more likely to suffer from the virus than individuals with stable housing. May 19th marks the fifth national U.S. Hepatitis Testing Day.
Find out how you can promote awareness of hepatitis C testing at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or learn more about hepatitis C as it affects people without homes on our Hepatitis resource page.
