Last Call: Submit Nominations for the Philip W. Brickner National Leadership Award by Feb. 5th

Brickner Nominations ImageThe deadline is approaching for nominations for the inaugural Philip W. Brickner National Leadership Award, presented by the National Health Care for the Homeless Council. Determined by the Board of Directors, the Council’s most prestigious honor will be awarded to a winner who has significantly strengthened service and/or advocacy that addresses the health status of people without homes.

The award honors the late Dr. Brickner (pictured) who founded the Health Care for the Homeless movement as the project director of the 19-city Demonstration Program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Pew Memorial Trust. This Program became the model for the federal HCH program, now comprising more than 270 health centers nationwide. Dr. Brickner died on March 24, 2014.

Only individual members or staff of organizational members of the Council are eligible to nominate candidates and to be nominated.

All nominations are due by Midnight Pacific Time on Friday, February 5, 2016.
