Paul Leon, a nurse and front runner in community health care to vulnerable populations, will present at the National Health Care for the Homeless Conference pre-conference institute Leadership for Changing Times: Beyond Healthcare Reform. Leon will discuss his success in building networks, collaborative relationships, and community partnerships to finance community health care.
Paul Leon is the president & CEO of the Illumination Foundation (IF), a non-profit organization that provides stable housing and wrap around services to the families in its programs in the Orange County area. Leon has pioneered IF’s Recuperative Care Program to manage the discharge of homeless patients from hospitals. He also works as an advocate for the ever-growing issues of poverty, homelessness and healthcare. An governing membership representative for the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, Leon has previously presented at two National HCH Conferences and has been featured in the Council’s podcast series.
The Leadership for Changing Times pre-conference institute will be held Wednesday, March 13. The 2013 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference and Policy Symposium will run Thursday through Saturday, March 14-16, in Washington, D.C.
