This webinar will identify the legal limitations and opportunities for HCH projects to conduct voter registration and other election activities, describe common barriers consumers face in registering to vote and ways to overcome them, describe different models for integrating voter registration into an HCH project, and recognize the importance of engaging consumers in the effort to promote voter registration and education. The right to vote is fundamental to citizenship, but for people experiencing homelessness, registering to vote and participating in the democratic process are often fraught with obstacles and barriers.
