Position: Night Charge/Staff RN

Hours:  Full-time, 36-40 hours p/wk; Nights 7p-7a/11p-7a & every other weekend
Program/Site:  Respite

Reports to:  Director of Nursing

 Summary of Position:

BHCHP is seeking an experienced part-time Registered Nurse to work in the dual role of Night Charge / Staff RN.    The Charge/Staff nurse will have demonstrated clinical, management and leadership skills to join our Respite Program. 

The Charge/Staff RN position is a key role in supporting the nursing department of the Respite Program.  The Charge/Staff RN assures and participates in the overall nursing care provided in respite for the shift, assesses significant nursing and other challenges from the prior shift and communicates the impact of these issues with appropriate personnel.  As well as, provides nursing support and directs team nurses, problem solving for the challenges of the shift including patient behaviors and medical complexity.  The Charge/Staff RN provides leadership in the absence of the DON, acts as de facto site administrator during off shifts and evenings collaborating with security, facilities, and administration as needed. 

Qualifications

• Commonwealth of Massachusetts RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience as a licensed RN required
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years management and/or supervisory experience in nursing required
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills
• Regulatory experience
• Experience with under-served population preferred
