Project Description
The mission of Health Care for the Homeless
(HCH) is to provide health-related services,
education, and advocacy
to reduce the incidence and burdens of homelessness.
Services
HCH provides primary care, mental health,
social work, addiction services, and outreach
in Baltimore City. Through service agreements,
many services are also available in Frederick
and Montgomery Counties. Children and families
are served at Mercy Medical Center. HCH operates
a women's clinic and a Saturday clinic for day
laborers.
Linkages
Linkages include the National HCH Council and
50 plus community coalitions, including Addiction
Treatment Advocates of MD, AIDS Administration
Advisory Board, Homeless Persons Representation
Project, Medicaid Advisory Committee, Mental
Health Association Advocacy Network, Ryan White
Title II Consortium, Alliance for the Poor,
State Interagency Council on Homelessness, and
Adult Justice Coalition.
