Providing Best Services to Chronic Alcoholics
Location: Congressional B

This panel features two models for services to chronic alcoholics: the Serial Inebriate Program, which diverts chronic homeless inebriates out of hospital emergency rooms and jail and into treatment, case management, and a permanent medical home, while saving millions of dollars annual; and San Francisco's Sobering Center, initiated to decrease the impact of intoxicated clients individually and within emergency departments and in the community.
Introductory level.
